Pictures and Description This storied mansion stands within 68 acres of beautiful grounds, meadows, and remarkable trees. In 2000, William F. Rust, Jr. and Margaret Dole Rust gave Rust Manor House and Sanctuary to the Audubon Naturalist Society, a local nonprofit environmental organization established in 1897. Rust Nature Sanctuary protects a unique blend of habitats for birds and native wildlife and provides a great service to the region's community. Audubon Naturalist Society's education and conservation programs gain valuable support from events held at Rust.
